The Head & Neck Oncology, Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital was founded in 2018 by Carlos A. Ramirez, MD DDS FACS.
Dr. Ramirez is a graduate of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at this same institution. After graduation, Dr. Ramirez completed fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction, at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Upon completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Ramirez returned to the health system to establish of a Center of Excellence Head & Neck Oncology, Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery service line.
Dr. Ogledzki completed his fellowship training here at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital and has joined Dr. Ramirez in practice. Together, they run a fast paced, busy Head & Neck Surgery service line.
The program accepts two trainees per year and is in the process of applying for accreditation through the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Dr. Waris is a graduate of the Mayo Clinic Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program.
He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Mayo Medical School and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry
